Plan a WhatsApp campaign around messaging limits
Before sending a large campaign through ChatArchitect, check the messaging limit of the connected Meta business portfolio. This limit concerns the number of different people you can reach with business-initiated messages outside an open customer service window during a rolling 24-hour period. It is shared by the WhatsApp Business phone numbers in that portfolio. Sending from a second number in the same portfolio does not create a separate audience allowance.
If your team still plans campaigns with separate allowances for each number, use the portfolio campaign planning guide to revise the old plan and coordinate overlapping audiences.
Your ChatArchitect subscription has a separate monthly active client allowance. For example, Plan 100 is priced for 100 active clients during a calendar month. That tariff number is not Meta's rolling 24-hour messaging limit. Check both measures before a large send.
The messaging limit is different from throughput (how quickly a number can process messages), a recipient's own marketing-message restrictions, and the status or quality of a message template. Passing one of these checks does not guarantee delivery through the others.
Before scheduling a campaign
- Check the current Meta limit for the connected portfolio in WhatsApp Manager, or ask ChatArchitect support to confirm it. Check your ChatArchitect tariff and monthly active client allowance separately in your account. Limits can change; use current values instead of an old tier quoted in an article or a previous campaign.
- Count the distinct recipients you plan to contact outside the customer service window, including sends planned from other numbers in the same portfolio during the same rolling 24 hours. Several messages to one person are not several distinct recipients, but that person's messages still need to respect consent and frequency.
- Confirm that the template is approved and check its quality rating. Remove recipients who did not expect the message and avoid unnecessary repeats.
- If your planned audience exceeds the available limit, divide the campaign across later days or ask ChatArchitect support to review the plan. Do not assume that switching phone numbers or increasing the sending rate will raise a portfolio-wide limit.
If sending slows or stops
- Check whether you have reached the portfolio's messaging limit. Compare the count of distinct recipients across all connected numbers with the current limit, not just the number of messages your tool says it submitted.
- If sends are accepted but some messages have no final delivery outcome, check whether they are held for quality assessment. Do not resend those messages before their outcome is known.
- If a template is paused, stop campaigns that use it. A higher messaging limit will not make that template active.
- If the issue is the rate of requests rather than the size of the audience, see throughput or ask support to identify the actual error.
Meta decides when a portfolio qualifies for a higher limit. Business verification, consistent sending to people who opted in, and good message quality can matter, but an increase is not automatic on a schedule that ChatArchitect can promise. Ask support to review the current limit and any Meta notice before planning a larger campaign.
If Meta displays an account policy notice, use the account restriction response guide. A portfolio messaging allowance and an account policy restriction require different checks.
