Start using WhatsApp Business with ChatArchitect

The WhatsApp Business Platform is Meta's infrastructure for business messaging. ChatArchitect connects your WhatsApp Business number to supported tools so your team can talk with customers and send approved message templates. In the standard ChatArchitect workflow, you use the credentials for your ChatArchitect connection rather than making direct requests to Meta's Cloud API. Use the integration-route guide to choose the destination for conversations and the first acceptance check.

ChatArchitect does not store customer message texts or attachments. Use the message content and storage guide to review conversation history, retention and deletion in your connected tools.

Set up your connection

  1. Connect your business number. The setup takes you through Continue with Facebook, selection of a business portfolio, addition of the number, and verification by SMS or call.
  2. Obtain the App key and Secret issued for your ChatArchitect connection. Use them in the setup form for your CRM, help desk, or other supported tool. The credentials guide explains how these differ from Meta access tokens. For a custom application, use the ChatArchitect API preparation guide.
  3. Follow your tool's instructions and send a test message. Use its guide to find the sending controls and any message status it shows. If the final outcome is unclear, ask ChatArchitect support. The sending guide explains the general workflow.

Choose the right message

When a customer writes to your business, Meta opens a 24-hour customer service window for replies. To start a conversation or contact a customer outside that window, obtain the customer's permission and use an approved message template. Review WhatsApp's business messaging policy for the current opt-in and messaging rules.

Create templates at wtargeted.com using the ChatArchitect template guide. Choose a category that fits the purpose of your message: Marketing, Utility, or Authentication. Check the category guide and confirm the template has been reviewed before a campaign.

Plan volume and costs

Your ChatArchitect tariff's monthly active client allowance, Meta's messaging limit, and the number's sending throughput describe different constraints. Check them separately before a large campaign. No single allowance guarantees that every message will be accepted or delivered.

You pay ChatArchitect under its current pricing plans; Meta charges for template messages are included in those plans. Service replies beyond the first 1000 messages per business phone number per month are charged separately through ChatArchitect. Review the pricing guide and confirm the applicable rate with support. If a message is rejected or remains pending, record the integration, connected number, template name, approximate time, and error or message ID. Give those details to ChatArchitect support without sending your full Secret.
